The second annual Medical and Psychological Aspects of Disability in the Workplace was held January 22-23rd at at the Trussville Civic Center to learn more about medical and psychological aspects of disability in the workplace. The program was presented by Disability:IN Alabama (formerly the Alabama Business Leadership Network) and the READI-Net program of the Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services. During the two-day workshop, the group learned about topics spanning from addiction and recovery implications for the workplace to emotional support animals and reasonable accommodations. The program was both educational and fun for those who attended. A visit from Gander the service dog was especially entertaining!
